Lessons

NVMA Conservatory of Music offers private music lessons and classes for children, teens and adults at all levels of ability to experience a supportive and meaningful opportunity in their musical training.

For all interested music students, please note that we are currently providing on-going lessons through Zoom or FaceTime during COVID. All of our teachers are highly experienced and welcome new students to join them in their fine music training.

Our Teachers

Katrina Wreede
Katrina Wreede
Violin, Viola

Katrina is an award winning composer, violinist and violist with over 30 years experience in individual and ensemble instruction. She has a nationwide reputation for creating compelling and inspirational classroom workshops. Katie thrives on developing opportunities for the next generation to explore the tools they'll need to take music forward. She enjoys teaching students of all ages and levels of ability. Katie resides in Vallejo, CA.

Steven Logoteta
Steven Logoteta
Woodwinds

Steven was born and raised in Vallejo where he resides. Steven has performed with the following symphonies: San Francisco, Oakland-East Bay, Sacramento, Santa Rosa, Stockton, Marin, Napa and Vallejo (including some guest soloing). He is an active educator directing Jazz and Symphonic bands through the Greater Vallejo Recreation District, being Studio Specialist-Applied Saxophone Instructor at Napa Valley College, Woodwinds Instructor at NVMA Conservatory of Music and at his successful private studio.

Mark Nemoyten
Brass

Mark teaches trumpet at beginning to advanced levels, and trombone, flugelhorn and french horn at beginning to intermediate levels. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance (trumpet) and California Teaching Credential in Music. He has taught thousands of students in private and group lessons. Mark resides in Novato, CA.

Eric Symons
Guitar/Composition

Eric Symons is a concert classical guitarist who is known internationally for his solo concerts and performing with Angel and Lito Romero. He is the prodigy of Celedonio and Angel Romero. His career has spanned 40 years as an arranger and composer who, with noted film composer Jerry Fielding and other famous composers and arrangers, hails from the Boston Conservatory. Eric has taught music theory and composition as well as classical guitar for NVMA students for three years.

David Brin
David Brin
Cello

David Brin studied cello with Margaret Rowell and Colin Hampton. He has a bachelor's degree in music theory and composition from Haverford College where he studied composition with John Davison and a master's degree from Mills College where he studied composition with Terry Riley. He was a member of the Berkeley Symphony (Kent Nagano, conductor) for 18 years. David lives in Sonoma, CA.

Nicole Birkland
Taraneh Seta
Voice

Taraneh Seta has sung in operas in Virginia, New Jersey, California and New York. As a voice teacher, while residing in Vacaville, CA a majority of her students were singing lead roles at the major theaters in Solano County In the world premier of "The Ancient Mariner" seven of her students were the lead singers of that production. Taraneh Seta was the voice teacher for Napa Valley Music Associates 27th Annual MidSummer MusiCamp in July, 2022 and also the featured artist in the 27th Annual "Mozart in Napa Valley" concert in January, 2022.

Drum/Percussion

Joe has been teaching drums for many years and has been playing drums professionally for over four decades. He implements a pragmatic lesson plan that results in achieving each students goals. He enjoys teaching all ages and all levels of ability. Joe resides in Napa. CA.

NVMA offers private instruction on all instruments and voice. You may register for (4) 30 minute - (4) 45 minute or (4) 60 minute weekly lessons, plus a one-time $25 Registration Fee due at first lesson.
